LEGUMER PRECOCINADOS S.L. is based in Pajares de la Laguna, in the very heart of La Armuña, located North-east of the province of Salamanca, where the prestigious lentil with the same name is grown due to three main factors:
Firstly, its climate. The region of La Armuña experiences little rain during the year, long and cold winters and short, hot and dry summers.
Secondly, the land is deep and fertile, excellent qualities for pulses to be grown. It is rich in organic matter, in iron oxides and in potassium. In this land there are as well some more microelements which give the pulses its excellent smoothness.
Thirdly, the local farmers. They keep performing their traditional craft and implementing their technical know-how in this field.
All this makes the region of La Armuña a unique site for the cultivation of its lentil, which is one of the most prestigious varieties in the world. And it is here where LEGUMER PRECOCINADOS SL. obtains its raw material, the lentil from La Armuña. Subsequently LEGUMER PRECOCINADOS SL. packages, precooks and boils it and creates products that maintain and emphasize the strengths of these unique pulses, always under the control of the Regulation of Designation of Origin Lenteja de La Armuña.
