On September 30th 2005, the Government Representative for Agriculture of Castile-Leon, José Valín, inaugurated at Pajares de La Laguna (Salamanca) the facilities of Legumer Precocinados SL, the first plant to produce prepared and cooked products from "Lenteja de La Armuña" and "Garbanzo de Fuentesaúco".
Together with the Counselor, more personalities attended the act: the General Director for Modernization and Agricultural Industry, Ms. Carmen Suárez; the President of the Provincial Delegation of government, Ms. Isabel Jiménez, accompanied by the Vice-president, Mr. Juan Luis García, and two deputies, Mr. Jesús María Ortiz and Mr. José Martín; the mayor of Pajares de la Laguna; the President of the Chamber of Commerce; the presidents of the Regulating Counsels for the PGI Lenteja de La Armuña and Garbanzo de Fuentesaúco; and a representative from Caja Duero and Asociación Nordeste from Salamanca, among others.
